APOLLINAIRE

Fabrics MISIA

Apollinaire fabric is a highly original velvet of ribbed viscose. Its two-tone pile gives an absolutely unique changing effect. Run your hand over it: in addition to its extremely soft satiny feel , you will reveal the second hidden colour. Its high Martindale score makes it ideal for upholstering seats. "Apollinaire" was one of the most important French poets and writers of the 20th century, and a great precursor of his time: among other things, he invented the calligram, he was the father of Orphism (via his poem Orpheus, which made his name), but above all the major precursor of cubism and surrealism, for which he coined the names. He died in combat for France in 1918 at the dawn of the famous so called années folles.
