La Garconne

Made in England, the wool satin "La Garçonne" is produced from more than 92% spun lambswool. The nylon fibre provides a durable weave, and gives the fabric a good resistance. The effect on the hand is rare, both satiny and soft, and lends incredible refined quality to any interior.The "garçonne" (or flapper) phenomenon that began at the start of the 20s following the sudden emancipation of women after the end of the First World War: women suddenly became active and independent, free in their movements, they could go out, dance, smoke, do sport or outdoor activities, drive, travel, adopt relaxed morals, ignore propriety, publicly declare extramarital affairs or live with someone in free union.
