Le fil d’Ariane is a large geometric design made in Italy. The contrast of the fancy viscose and linen yarn and the cotton yarn gives the labyrinth pattern its shine. After weaving, one of the finishing techniques softens the fibres and gives the fabric great softness, for supple drapes : Le fil d’Ariane is ideal for curtains. Daughter of Minos, the King of Crete, Ariadne falls in love with Theseus, who has come to slay the Minotaur. She gives him a ball of yarn, which, when unrolled in the heart of the labyrinth allows him to find his way out after having defeated the monster.
