Made in Italy, “Venise” (Venice in English) is a magnificently technical silk and cotton velvet, created using traditional techniques and “savoir-faire”. Each meter of velvet is made using 15,000 meters of silk threads and fifty hours of weaving are required to obtain two rolls. The silk threads are selected by category : only the purest and strongest are kept. A phase of the dyeing process intensifies the shine and softness of the silk to make a fluid, almost liquid material, of this velvet. A phase of finishing, on a machine in use since the beginning of the last century, further enhances the fibres guaranteeing an extremely luxurious drape. The “Venise” velvet is suitable for curtains and decorative seating. It is available in 16 carefully selected colors.
