Y

Yarn

Yarn is obtained by spinning different textile fibres to obtain a long strand which can be woven or knitted.  Depending on the technical or aesthetic requirements of the final textile product specific yarn can be made.  Twisting, twisted or cable structures using several yarns, simple or mixed are worked together to create the fabric.  The yarn can also be texturised due to the wave or curls in the material or fancy, with irregularities chosen for their decorative aspects.  A corespun yarn has a structure made from twisting fibres around a central yarn.
